Japanese Investors Seek Technology Market in Phnom Penh

A delegation led by Mr. Kazutoshi FUKUDA, Managing Director of Kyosan Electric Mfg Co., Ltd and Mr. Yasuyoshi MUGIYA, Senior Managing Director of Toshiba Corporation held a discussion with H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema in the morning of January 18, 2012 to present the modern technological products equipped with traffic signal aiming to reduce congestion in the city, especially to reduce green gas transmitted from vehicles which gradually increased each day. 



Mr. Kazutoshi FUKUDA had presented the new technology to establish electric light rail transit (LRT) which maximum could alleviate air pollution in the city and it could be easily recharged its power without using fuel. There was a special system which could create its own energy by battery from solar system. Moreover, Toshiba Corporation had also mentioned that aiming to reduce the traffic congestion; Toshiba had created a new technology with traffic light system, that equipment could automatically manage the stopping time for each intersection and it also could alert the traffic congestion at any intersection automatically if it is required.


H.E Governor had cheerfully appreciated to new and modern technology presented by the Japanese while Phnom Penh had been gradually developed and challenged with some difficulties to be solved. Moreover, the Capital Hall had already worked on a cooperation project for public transport (Tramway) starting from Phnom Penh International Airport to Preah Sakkchak Mony Chetdie which was strongly supported by Government of France, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Systra Company; thus H.E Governor suggested to Japanese companies to apply their investment project proposal for consideration.
